World Cup 2026 WebAR
A 600 m² mural in La Paz that comes to life on your phone, without downloading any app.
The project
Guinness World Records · World's Largest Interactive Football Mural
An interactive augmented reality layer turned a monumental public mural into an experience visitors enter through their phones, right in the browser and without downloading any app.
The project set the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Interactive Football Mural.
Challenge
The experience was developed under a compressed schedule, with a fixed deadline tied to the Guinness World Records evaluation, while the 600 m² mural was still being painted. The digital layer advanced in parallel with the physical artwork, and more than 30 animated elements had to run smoothly in a single browser-based experience on mobile devices.
Concept
The phone becomes a second lens onto the mural. Animated content extends the painted composition into a digital layer, organized in three content groups: a clear journey for visitors and an efficient technical system to manage the scale of the project.
What we did
The mural
Site mapping and development
Before designing the experience, we documented the mural and its surroundings and rebuilt them as a working 3D model. This made it possible to understand the full composition, study scale and viewing conditions, and develop the animations while the mural was still being painted. Each scene was studied as an image target through sketches, visual tests and early interaction studies.

Animations
We developed more than 30 animated sequences that extend scenes from the mural. We coordinated the animation team so each sequence responded to its image target and to the visual language of the experience, and produced part of the content through AI-assisted workflows and post-production. Because everything runs in a mobile browser, every asset was optimized for scale, playback and performance.
