Compression and release
Changes in ceiling height and proportion create tension and release: the compressed lobby later opens into larger exhibition volumes.
A digital manifesto gallery: a journey through the layers of human consciousness, from the cave to the white cube.
Turning six distinct environments into one continuous spatial narrative while integrating curatorial and exhibition design intent. This meant selecting and placing artworks according to sequence, scale and sightlines, and accurately modeling real sculptures and installations within the 3D environment.
Intra is a gradual transformation rather than a sequence of separate rooms. The architecture evolves with the curatorial narrative, from instinct toward abstraction: organic forms become orthogonal and darkness gives way to controlled light. Rather than representing transformation, the architecture makes the visitor experience it.
Changes in ceiling height and proportion create tension and release: the compressed lobby later opens into larger exhibition volumes.
Irregular cave geometry gives way to straight edges, constructed planes and controlled openings until the architecture resolves into the white cube.
Low light, fog, humidity, shadow and texture dominate the beginning, then recede as light grows brighter and the environment more precise.
Openings and turns reveal fragments of the spaces ahead before they can be reached, building anticipation and encouraging movement.
Key artworks terminate sightlines at every change in direction, turning circulation into a sequence of framed encounters.
The courtyard interrupts the visual density of the galleries with open space, water, ruins and monumental sculpture.
The exhibition follows a circuit that returns to the lobby, so the transformation is experienced as a complete cycle.
The white cube at one end, the courtyard at the center and the cave at the other. Ceiling height, geometry and light can be read against each other across the full sequence.
The final environment brings the spatial narrative together through architecture, artwork, material, light and atmosphere. Seen in sequence, the renders reveal the gradual transformation.
